Privacy Policy

Neon Atlas ("we," "us") operates neonatlas.gg, a fan-made site publishing guides and tools for Grand Theft Auto VI. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little, we sell none of it, and everything we do collect exists to run the site and the newsletter.

What we collect

Email address. Only if you subscribe to The Leonida Ledger. Subscriptions are double opt-in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Your address is stored and processed by our email service provider solely to deliver the newsletter.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. This involves cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived here. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs technical data such as IP addresses and request timestamps for security and performance. We do not combine this with any other data.

Survey responses. If you complete one of our reader surveys, responses are collected anonymously unless the form explicitly asks for contact details, and results are only published in aggregate.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies for analytics as described above. If we introduce advertising (such as Google AdSense), ad partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads depending on your settings. Where required by law, we will request your consent before setting advertising cookies, and you can manage ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site works fine without them.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links, including Amazon links. Clicking them may set a cookie from the retailer so we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent personal information, full stop. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the site run: our email platform (newsletter delivery), Google (analytics, and advertising if enabled), Amazon (affiliate program measurement), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if legally required to do so.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click at any time. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing us at the address below, and we will act on the request within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights (including the right to lodge a complaint with your local authority), and we honor them regardless of where you live.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

Newsletter data is kept while you remain subscribed and deleted from active systems after you unsubscribe, subject to our provider's standard deletion cycles. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' configured limits. We use reputable providers with industry-standard security, but no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International visitors

The site is operated from the United States, and data may be processed on servers there. By using the site, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the US.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Material changes to how we handle newsletter data will be announced in the newsletter itself.
